San José, CA – Horizon Air announced today it will inaugurate a new flight between Palm Springs (PSP) and San José (SJC) with daily non-stop service starting November 4, 2007, through April 6, 2008.

Horizon’s new flight will be operated with 70-seat CRJ-700 regional jets. The new flight is available now and can be booked online at www.horizonair.com or by calling (800) 547-9308. Palm Springs vacation packages that bundle air travel, lodging, rental cars and more also are available online through Alaska Airlines Vacations.
“This is a great addition to serve the people of San José and Silicon Valley, and we’re looking forward to Horizon’s continuing success here,” said Bill Sherry, San José Director of Aviation. “We appreciate Horizon’s commitment to our community by providing another opportunity for winter vacationers.”

Horizon also announced it will increase service between Portland and Palm Springs by adding a second daily nonstop flight to supplement Alaska Airline’s schedule for the winter season.

“Palm Springs is a world-class resort destination that’s proving to be increasingly popular with vacationers from Northern California. With these new flights, Horizon Air is responding to the rising demand,” said Dan Russo, Horizon director of marketing and communications.
